This Sunday is Father’s Day. A big day around Dumb White Husband. Hello, surrounded by all these husbands. Yup, definitely a big day. And why not celebrate the big day with food? Oh yea, every man likes food. After all don’t they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach?? But today I’m not just talking food… I’m talking chocolate. Now just hold on a second before you go and tell me chocolate is a woman thing. This is not just chocolate… oh no, this is Brownies. I’ve got your attention now don’t I?
Nutella Brownies with Heath Bar Pieces
1 Cup Nutella
10 Tbsp. Flour
½ Cup Heath Bar Pieces
Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9×9 pan. Add Nutella and eggs to a large bowl. I had to scoop the Nutella out of the jar because my kids couldn’t get the Nutella to come off the spoon. It’s a little sticky. I also had my kids crack the eggs into a separate bowl to make sure no egg shells found their way into the brownies. Mix the Nutella and eggs. Once the eggs are mostly incorporated begin adding in the flour. Since I had two kids working on the brownies they took turns adding the flour. Each added 5 Tablespoons while the other stirred. I make sure they count out loud so that they each hear how much they are adding, but also so I know they are adding the right amount.
Once the flour has been added and completely mixed in. Add the Heath Bar pieces or whatever mix in your dad or husband prefers. Heath Bar is my husbands favorite. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×9 baking pan or cupcake liners if you like. Place it in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. And viola! Easy peasy, chocolate goodness!
And guess what? They taste fantastic!
